The Financial Aid Puzzle
October 25, 6:30-7:30PM
Attention high-school sophomores, juniors, and seniors, and your parents/guardians! As part of HAYC3’s Big Idea Lecture Series, college and financial aid counselor Heather Clifford, of Clifford College Counseling, will present “The Financial Aid Puzzle”. This event is free and open to the public, but we appreciate RSVPs.
“In the highly competitive admissions and financial aid world, we can’t afford to be passive,” says Clifford. This presentation will empower you with knowledge of how to apply for admission, teach you about the documents you will need to provide, give you a timeline of things to be thinking about, and most importantly… give you guidance on how to pay for it. Clifford adds, “Don’t be intimidated by the jargon of EFC, FAFSA, DRT, IRS, and OMG! Sixty percent of high-school seniors do not complete the FAFSA, which guarantees they won’t qualify for need-based aid. Why not throw your hat in the ring.”
Clifford is here to be your partner in college planning and will help make sense of the financial aid puzzle with a 30-minute presentation followed by a question-and-answer period.
