April 13, 8:30AM-noon — Wood Park
Come by yourself or with a group to help wash, weed, and rake winter away. We will be meeting at the Wood Park gazebo at 8:30AM for work assignments. The more the merrier and we should be done by noon.
This annual project attracts individuals, groups, churches, businesses, and organizations each year. Besides sprucing up the Village, you get to meet and spend time with others who care about our community. Help tidy up and groom parks, flowerbeds, gardens, sidewalks, and other community spaces, and get them ready for the warm weather that is sure to arrive any day now.
If you know of a public or community space that needs help, please let us know. We will make every attempt to see that it is covered by the volunteers on this day. If you have a group that would like to participate, let us know so that we can organize the tasks that need to get done ahead of time. Each team, or group of people, will be assigned a specific area to focus on. Please bring shovels, rakes, gloves, and wheelbarrows if you can, but don’t forget to put your name on them.
And thank you to Joe McDonald for organizing this event. For more information, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
